Job summary

Solink is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for the Media Team in Ottawa or Toronto, hybrid work. You will own cloud services powering the media pipeline: ingesting, processing, storing, and serving media at scale for thousands of locations.

You’ll work deep in AWS-native infrastructure, focusing on cost efficiency and reliability. The role suits a senior backend or full-stack engineer who prioritizes throughput, latency, and resource use, owning a service from design through production

Qualifications

• Senior backend or backend-leaning full-stack engineer with end-to-end ownership of production services.
• Hands-on cloud and AWS experience with SQS, EKS, Redis, CloudFront alongside S3/Lambda and understanding their operational characteristics.
• Strong AI tooling usage to increase quality and velocity in development workflows.
• Observability experience with OpenTelemetry concepts and practical usage for distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud deployment practices: staging vs production, gradual roll-outs, canary deployments, and A/B testing.
• Resource-aware mindset to balance cost, performance, and reliability in cloud pipelines.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals: asynchronous processing, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Experience with modern backend development including API design and production reliability practices.
• Ability to diagnose complex cross-service production issues independently and under pressure.
• Ownership mindset and ability to influence technical decisions beyond code.
• Experience improving legacy services and extending brownfield systems.
