Job summary

StartPro Corp. in Concord, Ontario is seeking a Senior Engineer for enterprise platform work, in-person at our studio. You will own client builds end-to-end—from architecture through deployment—alongside two other senior engineers and a project manager.

Expect to lead one client at a time with full scope: schema, API, frontend, infra, and customer conversations about what is realistic and when. We operate in two-week sprints with weekly customer demos. The role reports to the founder.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production web applications end-to-end.
• Strong with TypeScript, Node, Postgres, and one modern React-based framework (Next.js preferred).
• Comfortable owning AWS (ECS / Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront) without an SRE backstop.
• Track record of shipping software that customers depend on — not side projects.
• Direct, written communicator. We work asynchronously by default during deep-work windows.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, build, and deployment of one client engagement at a time.
• Lead two-week sprints; demo to the customer weekly.
• Make scope and priority calls in conversation with the customer — no relay through PMs.
• Pair with the project manager to keep deliverables and dates honest.
• Mentor one junior engineer (rotating), if and when we hire one.
