Job summary

Robertson seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join our client in Toronto on a 6-month hybrid contract. You will lead architecture, guide engineering teams, and drive high-quality software across the SDLC, with emphasis on .NET, microservices, and Azure services.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in requirement sessions, and help optimize delivery times while ensuring security and compliance in healthcare-related contexts.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of extensive software development experience.
• 8+ years in .NET development, preferably in regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools (campaigns, email, SMS, chatbots).
• Proficiency with Azure API Management and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, including App Containers, SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and Service Bus.
• Experience with .NET-based message producers/consumers using Service Bus SDK.
• Familiarity with HL7/FHIR healthcare data standards is a plus.

• Performs code reviews and design walkthroughs.
• Participates in requirement sessions, specs, and solution design.
• Develops applications to specs within time and budget.
• Identifies risks and escalates to leadership.
• Recommends better design choices and resources when obstacles arise.
• Reviews systems for performance and completeness; improves cycle time.
• Supports adoption of new engineering practices enterprise-wide.
• Engages with product management to propose features for UX and maintainability.
• Collaborates with Lead Engineers to develop plans and specs.
• Ensures alignment with roadmaps and system strategies.
• Stays current with technology trends and platform evolution.
• Makes decisions with substantial cross-organizational impact; handles cross-portfolio interactions.
