Express Scripts Canada is actively seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer in Mississauga. You will define and implement business applications, ensure quality deliverables, and support internal operations. The role combines backend microservices with frontend SPA work, in a hybrid work model.

The successful candidate will bring 7+ years in information systems, expertise in Java/SpringBoot, Angular or React, CI/CD, and strong documentation skills to maintain scalable, reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in Information Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing microservices using Java and SpringBoot (SOAP & RESTFUL).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in developing SPAs using JS frameworks (Angular, React).
• Experience with CI/CD automation and multi-platform environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate user requests and clarify objectives for new or modified applications.
• Formulate detailed program specifications and implement cross-platform services.
• Write documentation, train users, and provide production support.
• Monitor system performance and implement updates per business needs.
• Provide off-hour on-call support and troubleshoot programming problems.
• Code and test new or modified programs and resolve errors.

Job Summary

Express Scripts Canada is actively looking to hire a Senior Full Stack Developer. The successful candidate will work closely with the business to define how best to address business challenges faced by our customers and our internal operations. The Senior Developer will clarify functional requirements and non-functional requirements and develop effective designs and implementation approaches for the delivery of business applications. The Senior Developer will assure the quality of deliverables, ensuring that developed products are fit for use, supportable and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Information Systems and Business to evaluate user requests, clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs. Assist in determining feasibility, time requirements, compatibility with current system and system capabilities.
• Work with project team to formulate detailed program specifications using analysis and design methodology. Assists with definition and implementation of applications in a multi-platform distributed environment.
• Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections, may develop user manuals and operating procedures, provide research and follow-up on production problems and may train users and provide technical assistance to resolve application and operating issues.
• Monitor ongoing performance of systems and develop updates or modifications according to business needs. Work with end users to provide production operation support including system setup and processing and data extraction.
• Provide off-hour support with on call rotation.
• Code new or modified computer programs into existing systems and test program effectiveness. Evaluate error messages, modify codes and troubleshoot programming problems.

What We’re Looking For

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience working with software development teams
• 7-10 years of experience in Information Systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing microservices application specifically Java and SpringBoot (SOAP & RESTFUL), Spring, Apache, IDE Tools (Intellij, VS Code), HTML, JavaScript
• Minimum 3 years of experience in developing Single Page Application (GUI) using Java script framework like Angular, React etc.
• Programming: J2EE, JPA, JAVA Web Services (RESTFUL) Spring Framework, Angular, Maven
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, GitHub
• Databases: Relational Database Systems (ideally Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Queries)
• Operating Systems: Linux, HP-UX or Unix variant, MS Windows
• Experience in multi-platform distributed environment, web-based architectures and Micro services
• Familiarity with standard design patterns and UML
• Experience with CI/CD Automation Process
