Job summary

The company is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join its frontend team, focusing on React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. You will design reusable components, uphold accessibility, and help shape a scalable design system across multiple products.

You’ll collaborate with Product Design and cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and influence frontend direction. The role is hybrid with office days and remote flexibility, Canada-based, with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience with React, TS, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system or shared UI platform.
  • Strong collaboration with Product Design and cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Ability to lead technical projects from conception through execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build reusable components that scale across the company's web surfaces.
  • Champion accessibility and performance across shared components.
  • Establish testing strategies and quality gates for the design system.
  • Partner with engineers to drive adoption and evolve the system based on usage.
  • Contribute to the technical direction of frontend architecture.

About this roleAs a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll collaborate with us to:
  • Design and build reusable, high-quality components that scale across the company's web surfaces
  • Champion accessibility and performance best practices across shared components

  • Partner with engineers across the company to drive adoption and evolve the system based on real usage
  • Contribute to the technical direction of our frontend architecture
  • Accelerate design process via AI-assisted tooling
  • Mentor other engineers, participate in design and code reviews, and raise the bar for frontend craftsmanship across the org
We're excited about you because you have:
  • 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering closely with Product Design and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system, component library, or shared UI platform used by multiple product teams
  • A strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception through execution, and to influence technical direction beyond your immediate team
  • A passion for creating high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, and for making other engineers more productive
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

  • React, TypeScript, Next.js, NX
  • Figma, Storybook, Playwrite
  • REST and streaming APIs, integrating with backend services written in Kotlin
Salary Range

Canada: the pay range for this role is $160,000 to $220,000 per year.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

**Hybrid the company employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday).* Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.*
