Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Front End Development Specialist (10+ years) to design, develop, test, and implement customer-facing applications using HTML5, React, Stencil.js, and REST APIs.

This role supports the development of an online self-service solution that integrates with existing digital services. The successful candidate will contribute to front-end development, application integration, accessibility compliance, and secure customer-facing functionality supporting large-scale public sector operations.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, Working Hours: EST

Must Haves

• Extensive integration of REST APIs using JSON and XML for enterprise web applications
• Extensive work on application architecture, technical documentation, risk assessments, accessibility compliance, and QA/UAT feedback management
• Experience developing accessible digital products compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA, AODA, and WAI-ARIA across web, iOS, and Android platforms
• Post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

• Experience developing secure customer-facing applications in a public-sector or highly regulated environment
• Experience maintaining large-scale information technology applications
• Experience conducting root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging during application outages
