Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer for machine vision camera development. You will own FPGA subsystems from concept to production, delivering high-performance, cost-efficient hardware for world-class machine vision platforms.

You will lead RTL development, verification plans, and collaboration across firmware, hardware, sensors, test, and product teams. This role emphasizes ownership, mentorship, and contributing to reusable FPGA development processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FPGA development using VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and FPGA implementation.
• Ability to optimize designs for small, cost-effective FPGA devices.
• Experience with Vivado, Quartus, Libero, or similar toolchains.
• Hardware bring-up and lab debugging using FPGA test equipment.
• Scripting experience with Tcl and/or Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Advantage: Machine vision, imaging systems, camera interfaces, image processing, embedded firmware, or CI workflows.

• Investigate production and field issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, sensor, test, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to FPGA development processes and reuse.

Salary Range

$93,700.00-$124,900.000
