BTA Design Services in Ottawa is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to lead FPGA development from specification to implementation, partnering with hardware, verification, and systems teams to deliver robust, production-quality designs.

This on-site role requires 10–15 years of hands-on SystemVerilog FPGA experience, strong CDC, timing constraints, and a track record of timing closure, with a compensation range of CAD 150,000–170,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of hands-on FPGA design experience enabling rapid ramp-up.
• Strong SystemVerilog design expertise.
• Experience with clock domain crossings (CDC).
• Experience configuring synthesis tool settings.
• Solid command of timing constraints (SDC) and constraint development.
• Available to work full-time on-site in Ottawa.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA logic in SystemVerilog from micro-architecture to timing-clean design.
• Analyze CDC and ensure proper synchronization strategy.
• Own the synthesis flow and drive timing closure.
• Analyze synthesis and timing reports to resolve timing, congestion, and resource issues.
• Collaborate with verification and systems teams to ensure correct, testable designs.
• Contribute to design reviews and improve FPGA design practices.
