Job summary

Cabin Resource Management Ltd. is seeking a Senior Forest Technician to join our Forestry team, focusing on planning road and harvest layouts, data management and regulatory compliance. This role offers field supervision and the opportunity to work outdoors with a dedicated team.

You will contribute to safety, utilize LiDAR data for planning, and ensure BC policies and guidelines are met while supporting professional development and a dynamic, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Education in forestry with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Degree.
• Registered or eligible for ABCFP as RPF or RFT (or working towards).
• Minimum 4 years of road and cut block layout experience in BC.
• Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning roads and cut blocks.
• Strong understanding of forest policy, BC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and layout of road and harvest systems.
• Lead data management in field and office.
• Ensure legal, regulatory and client requirements are met in deliverables.
• Provide supervision in the field and training for crew members.
