Job summary

SOGECLAIR invites you to join its Montreal area team as a Senior Fly-By-Wire engineer, leading integration and certification of critical flight-control technologies on major programs. You will liaise with suppliers and regulatory authorities and support on-site activities at final assembly lines in North America.

The role requires a mechanical or aerospace engineering background with at least seven years in aerospace, FBW and secondary flight-control experience, and strong analysis, modeling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• Minimum 7 years in aerospace with FBW or secondary flight-control exposure is required.
• Strong knowledge of Part 25 certification and interfaces is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration of Fly-by-Wire and secondary flight control systems on the aircraft.
• Support concept development and system philosophy with suppliers.
• Develop, validate and verify flight control system requirements and test procedures.
• Execute bench and aircraft tests and draft test reports for certification activities.
• Ensure compliance with ARP4754 development process and participate in trade-off studies.
• Occasional travel to suppliers/regulatory authorities and on-site support at final assembly lines (Toronto, Montreal, USA).
