Job summary

Wasaya Airways LP is seeking an Assistant Chief Pilot to support the Chief Pilot in overseeing flight operations across the fleet. The role includes developing SOPs, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with CARS and company directives.

You will help with crew selection, monitor performance, and coordinate with departments while participating in safety investigations and line checks as needed. Northwestern Ontario operations require clear communication and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation supervisory or training roles.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations and Standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Pilot and Director of Flight Operations in managing flight operations.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.
• Assist with development and implementation of flight crew training programs.
• Draft and issue directives to pilots and ensure regulatory compliance (CARS).
• Determine operational suitability of aerodromes and routes.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring and termination of flight crew.
• Monitor pilot performance and liaison with departments and outside agencies.
• Assist in flight safety investigations and perform line checks as required.
• Perform other flight operations duties as required.
