Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst - Fixed Assets (Contract) to lead the fixed assets cycle across operation units, including capitalization, asset transfers, and retirements.

You will support monthly close, MCR reporting, and audits, driving improvements and efficiencies. The role requires a CPA designation with at least five years in finance, along with SAP/BPC expertise and strong communication.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 5+ years of experience in Finance.
• Experience with SAP, BPC and fixed assets cycle.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the fixed assets cycle for the assigned units, including capitalization, asset transfers, and retirements.
• Prepare monthly Management Control Reports for Capital Expenditures and quarterly appendices.
• Manage quarterly idle assets inquiry and support external audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement ideas to streamline processes.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
