Job summary

The Ontario Public Service is seeking a Senior Systems Admin Analyst Network Management (Firewall) to lead enterprise firewall operations and architecture across multiple platforms in Ontario, delivering secure, reliable network services for government operations. Location includes Toronto and other Ontario centres.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Tier-3 firewall operational role to configure, implement and troubleshoot advanced firewall platforms.
• Expert knowledge of firewall maintenance and administration for multi-tiered environments.
• Experience with system/server operations and related technologies.
• Ability to apply root cause analysis to provide senior-level solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and coordination for firewall management, administration, configuration and maintenance.
• Deliver ongoing client service and support for stakeholder relations.
• Oversee day-to-day firewall configuration changes and provide Tier 3 client service for firewall activities.
• Offer specialized technical expertise and recommend improvements to sustain a smooth firewall environment.
• Lead planning of resources and reporting on technical aspects of multiple projects.
• Provide mentoring for network administration staff.
• Perform project and service administration activities such as scheduling and cost monitoring.
