Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead complex fire protection design for institutional, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across Canada. You will guide project teams, perform hydraulic analyses, and ensure code compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

The role offers a hybrid work setup with offices in Toronto or Markham, and involves field visits, client collaboration, and ongoing practice development within a national team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada and in good standing.
• Minimum 12–15 years of fire protection engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of fire protection systems for buildings ensuring safety and code compliance.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and sprinkler sizing to NFPA/NBCC/NFCC standards.
• Mentor junior staff and support development of fire protection practices.
