Educators Financial Group, based in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Financial Planner to grow the client base within the education community. You will advance investments from existing clients, work with the lending team in Kingston area, and travel as needed.

The role offers a remote work environment, a supportive leadership team, and a comprehensive benefits package. Strong CFP (or PFP) credentials and 7+ years of advisory experience are required.

Qualificações

  • Current CFP designation holder, eligible to be registered with a CIRO firm in Ontario.
  • Strong candidates with the PFP designation and working toward the CFP may be considered for the role.
  • Minimum of 7 years of direct investment sales/financial planning/advisory experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering holistic and tailored financial plans.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy and numerical aptitude.
  • Ability to work self-directed with high accuracy while managing multiple priorities.

Tools, technology, and travel expenses required for the role will also be provided.

The hiring range for the position is $92,000 - $95,000 per year(subject to the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and skills, professional designation(s)). Benefits package includes:

  • Health Benefits Plan, including Extended Health,Dental & Vision coverage, Basic Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Benefits andEmployee Assistance Programs. Premiums are paid by the company, with the exception of LTD premium.

About the Role

As a Senior Financial Planner, you will develop networks to grow our client base, raise awareness of our company and our services within the education community, increase investments from existing clients within your assigned territory and work closely with our lending team within Kingston and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to deliver an exceptional client experience and drive business growth.

  • Achieve sales objectives through business development, strategic planning, and effective pipeline management.

  • Monitor performance results and adjust activities to meet business goals.

  • Leverage technology and client insights to identify opportunities and maintain accurate client records.

  • Resolve client inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of service.

  • Develop referral networks and community partnerships to generate new business opportunities.

  • Deliver financial planning and investment presentations, workshops, and webinars.

  • Support outreach initiatives and contribute to team and organizational objectives as required.

  • Develop and implement personalized financial and investment plans, providing clients with guidance, education, and ongoing support to help achieve their financial goals.

  • Conduct portfolio reviews, prepare asset allocation recommendations, and ensure investments remain aligned with client objectives, risk tolerance, and KYC requirements.

  • Monitor client progress through regular reviews and adjust financial plans and investment strategies as needs and circumstances evolve.

This is a mobile position with the flexibility to manage your own schedule. It is best suited for a self-motivated, self-managed individual with significant initiative and drive. This role involves travelling and using own vehicle to meet with clients. The position reports to the Regional Director, Client Advisory Services - Central and Eastern Ontario.

Qualifications
  • Current CFP (Certified Financial Planner)designation holder, approved to be registered with a CIRO firm in the province of Ontario.

  • Strong candidates holding the PFP (Personal Financial Planner) designation and working towards the CFP designation may be considered for the Financial Planner role.

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct investment sales/financial planning/advisory experience.

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering holistic andtailored financial plans to clients.

  • Strong interpersonal skills in managing client partnerships, proven ability to engage and nurture long-term relationships.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced computer literacy and strong numerical aptitude.

  • Skilled at self-directed work, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness while handling multiple priorities.
