Job summary

Exceleris is seeking an experienced finance leader in Canada to review and approve monthly financial statements, analyze performance, and ensure accuracy and compliance across the organization.

You will oversee internal controls, guide the accounting team, and support deadlines while partnering with operations and stakeholders. The role also involves supporting external audits and strategic projects, including acquisitions and property integrations.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required with 15+ years of accounting experience including team management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience with Hopem is an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Collaborative leadership style and ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve monthly financial statements and analyze financial performance.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial information.
• Oversee internal controls and accounting documentation.
• Lead and support the accounting team while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Participate in external audits and special projects, including acquisitions and property integrations.
• Act as a financial business partner to operations and key stakeholders.
