Job summary

IFG - International Financial Group in Mississauga is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for an initial six-month contract, with potential to convert to permanent. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statement preparation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
• Proven experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statements.
• Experience in a mid-to-large-sized organization with high transaction volumes.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive, motivated and results-oriented.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; Macros are an asset.
