Job summary

Thornhill Medical in Toronto is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst - Planning & Analysis to drive financial reporting, planning, and operating processes with a strong business partner mindset.

You will own monthly statements, forecasts, and variance analysis, coordinate the year-end audit, and work with external tax and ERP teams to ensure accuracy and compliance across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/ business or related field required.
• CPA designation required.
• 5–8 years of accounting/finance experience in manufacturing or medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly financial statements and board decks on time.
• Updates monthly forecasts after month-end with variance analysis.
• Manages monthly reporting and variance explanations by channel and department.
• Oversees year-end audit and coordinates with external auditors.
• Liaises with tax accountants for tax filings and SRED documentation.
• Reviews and approves payments and purchase orders.
• Owns sales reporting and related invoicing processes.
• Develops and maintains financial controls and SOPs.
• Ensures ISO13485 finance-related SOPs and policy compliance.
• Manages working capital, FX hedging, and cash forecasting.
• Oversees inventory accounting, COGS, and ERP costings.
• Leads budget planning and 3–5 year forecasting.
• Drives process improvements and ERP implementation.
• Provides timely reporting via ERP/BI tools and mentors juniors.
