Job summary

Lush Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Manufacturing in Etobicoke to partner with the Manufacturing teams on financial planning, analysis, and decision support. You will help leaders understand performance, identify opportunities, and drive cost control.

You will lead month-end closes, re-forecasts, and annual budgets, while developing dashboards and KPIs that translate financial data into actionable insights for operations and leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on finance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in manufacturing FP&A, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Advanced Excel and ability to build KPI dashboards for managers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted Finance business partner to the Manufacturing Team with timely financial support.
  • Turn data into clear trends and insights actionable by the business.
  • Convey complex financial information in concise, non-technical language.
  • Lead month-end variance analysis and operational reviews for Manufacturing.
  • Lead monthly forecasting and annual budgeting, maintaining forecasting models.
  • Develop and track KPIs to drive financial improvements across the business.
  • Improve reporting quality and decision-making through process enhancements.
  • Create centralized tools/dashboards for clear performance insights.
  • Provide ROI analyses for projects and initiatives when needed.
  • Communicate financial concepts across the organization and mentor teammates.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, Manufacturing, you will be a key financial business partner to our Manufacturing teams, helping leaders understand performance, identify opportunities, manage costs, and make informed decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a trusted Finance business partner to the Manufacturing Team, providing quality, relevant, and timely financial support to the team and the organization
  • Acting as a face of Finance and as a critical friend to the business. Be a storyteller, turning data into easily understood trends and impacts that can be actioned by the business.
  • Have the ability to convey complex financial information in a concise, non‑technical manner
  • Lead month‑end variance analysis and operational reviews for Manufacturing, providing insights into financial performance, key underlying drivers, changes against plan, and upcoming opportunities and risks.
  • Lead monthly financial re‑forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of forecasting models to ensure accurate financial plans
  • Proactively review and develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to find actionable opportunities for stakeholders and educate the business on how those metrics drive financial improvements
  • Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting quality, financial performance, and decision‑making
  • Responsible for developing and improving centralized tools and dashboards that enable business users to clearly understand their performance and opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver decision support, impact assessments, and return on investment (ROI) analyses for evaluating projects and strategic initiatives
  • Improve finance knowledge across the business by effectively communicating financial concepts that can be easily understood by all stakeholders
  • Provide peer support, guidance, and development opportunities to team members
  • Proactively seek solutions to current and foreseeable issues
  • Provide support for any ad‑hoc analysis projects, modelling, and presentation materials as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on finance experience within a manufacturing - finance setting, and proven understanding of operational processes and systems
  • Experience in manufacturing FP&A, working with key financial and accounting principles, cost accounting, Profit & Loss statement, variance analysis, modelling, and problem‑solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Advance Microsoft Excel, data manipulation, and ability to build KPI dashboards for middle and senior managers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to both finance and non‑finance audiences
  • Ability to partner directly with Manufacturing and operational leaders and translate finance into practical business language
  • Proven experience in developing, utilizing and analysing financial and operational KPIs
  • A proven, proactive approach, and initiative, collaborative, and inclusive approach to business support
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A commitment to high‑quality work and continuous learning

  • Ability to work on‑site 4-5 days per week, based on business needs
Preferred
  • CPA designation or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Dynamics AX, QAD, (or other ERP)
  • Experience using Adaptive forecasting software considered an asset
