Strong Excel and Infinium proficiency are essential for this role. The position requires 3–5 years of senior accounting experience, with a degree and professional designation (CA/CGA/CMA).

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or recognized equivalent.
• CA, CGA or CMA designation.
• 3-5 years senior accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques and principles.
• Advanced skills in detailed reconciliations using large amounts of complex interrelated financial data.
• Advanced skills in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data.
• Experience with fixed assets, capital budgeting and capital leases.
• Experience with cash flow tracking and projection.
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with financial systems (Infinium) and Excel.
• Experience with report preparation, training, and presentations to staff.
• Knowledge of hospital financial accounting requirements is preferred.
• Infinium experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual schedules, statements and/or reports.
• Liaise with internal and external clients to exchange information and provide professional/technical assistance.
• Provide advanced support for audits and management decision making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Keep informed about current accounting issues and technology changes.
• Assist with development and improvement of financial models and workflows.
• Demonstrate commitment to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
