goeasy in Mississauga is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across Canada.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial information, maintain controls, and analyze revenue, deferrals, and ECL provisions under IFRS 9. The role includes month-end close, variance analysis, and participation in audits.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to apply accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills: PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.
• Experience supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder partnership.
• Retail/financial services/consumer lending/publicly traded company experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial results including P&L and management reporting packages.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, schedules, and working papers for accurate reporting.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, explain variances, and provide actionable insights.
• Investigate variances against budget/forecast and prior periods.
• Perform revenue and deferred revenue analysis under IFRS.
• Prepare IFRS 9 ECL provisions analysis and key drivers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with modeling.
• Cost analysis for revenue-generating activities to support profitability.
• Partner with leaders to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
• Assist with audits and respond to inquiries.
• Identify process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop financial models and dashboards for performance monitoring.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and contribute to special projects.
