Job summary

Clarity Recruitment in Newmarket, ON is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to own monthly financial and sales analysis by brand and product, interfacing with Canadian and US leadership. The role reports to the Controller in a hybrid work setting.

You will coordinate forecasts, analyze variances, prepare P&L by brand, and assist with budgets in a fast-moving consumer products environment.

Qualifications

• University or College Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of general accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills, including attention to details.
• Proficient with a PC including Microsoft Office programs, ideally advanced Excel level.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP), LongView and Cognos Analytics an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly Volume actual report to US (working template in xls @ sku level, LongView upload)
• Maintain monthly variance tracking by product group (PPV, Freight, duty and FX)
• Prepare monthly analysis of OPEX variance between actual vs mid-month forecast/budget (by department)
• Prepare monthly P&L (@ Brand level)
• Coordinate the collection and entry of mid- month forecast data, including net sales, cost of sales, variances & operating expenses
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
• Prepare and generate special accounting/sales reports for analysis (i.e. ad hoc reports for US or local management, Stats Canada)

About the Opportunity

Our client is the Canadian arm of a global golf equipment and apparel manufacturer, with brands recognized by players worldwide and financial reporting lines up to a US parent company. This newly created role owns the monthly analysis of financial and sales performance by brand and product, giving you direct visibility into decisions made at both the Canadian and US level.

Key Responsibilities
