Job summary

Red Rover Recruitment represents a leading Canadian furniture manufacturer seeking a hands-on Financial Analyst – Manufacturing in Ontario. You will support month-end close, cost and margin analysis, and planning activities across the business.

You will work with Seridex, Salesforce, and Power BI to drive data quality, reporting, and forecasting. A degree in accounting or finance and 3–6 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A experience.
• Strong Excel capabilities and experience with financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Experience using Seridex, Salesforce, and Power BI is an asset.

Our client is a leading Canadian designer and manufacturer of customizable office furniture and commercial interior products. Based in Concord, Ontario, they work with dealers, architects, designers, and customers across Canada and the United States to create flexible, durable, and thoughtfully designed workspaces.

About the role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Financial Analyst – Manufacturing to strengthen accounting, reporting, cost analysis, and planning capability across the business.

Reporting to the Controller, you will support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, inventory and cost tracking, Excel-based analysis, and management reporting. You will also help improve data and reporting processes in Seridex and Salesforce, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the company’s future Power BI implementation.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, commercially curious finance professional who wants broad exposure to accounting, manufacturing operations, systems, and FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close through journal entries, accruals, prepaids, balance-sheet reconciliations, and financial-reporting schedules.
• Prepare recurring management reports and analyze actual-versus-budget, prior-period, sales, expense, cost, and gross-margin variances.
• Maintain and improve Excel models, reporting files, reconciliations, and data-quality controls.
• Extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze financial and operating data from Seridex, Salesforce, and other internal systems.
• Support inventory and cost analysis, including material, labour, freight, purchasing, production, and gross-margin drivers.
• Help improve Seridex data, reporting logic, master data, and finance processes.
• Support budget preparation, forecast updates, operating assumptions, scenario analysis, and management/board reporting.
• Partner with sales, operations, purchasing, and production teams to improve reporting, cost visibility, and decision support.
• Contribute to Power BI readiness by helping define reporting requirements, validate source data, and standardize metrics.

Education, Skills and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, management accounting, cost accounting, or commercial-finance experience.
• Hands‑on experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, logical formulas, data validation, and reporting models.
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system to extract and analyze data; manufacturing ERP/MRP, Seridex, and Salesforce experience are assets.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, inventory/cost accounting, gross‑margin analysis, financial modelling, or operational finance.
• Manufacturing, industrial distribution, furniture, building products, food/consumer goods, packaging, machinery, automotive, or other inventory‑intensive experience is strongly preferred.
• Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or dashboard‑development experience is an asset.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA is preferred but not required.
• Clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, and interest in using data to improve business decisions.
