Job description

The Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A will support the Director, FP&A in financial planning, business case analysis, and reporting activities. This role involves developing and managing financial models, analyzing financial data and KPIs, preparing forecasts, and providing insights for strategic decision-making. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, financial modelling skills, attention to detail, and collaboration across departments.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Develop and maintain complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  2. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  3. Prepare documentation for government subsidies, ensuring accuracy and process improvements.
  4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and KPIs.
  5. Collaborate with business units to gather financial data and ensure reporting accuracy.
  6. Support the annual budgeting process, including template preparation and departmental budget consolidation.
  7. Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses for business initiatives and strategic projects.
  8. Assist in preparing presentations for the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
  9. Monitor and report on financial risks and opportunities, recommending mitigation strategies.
  10. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  11. Improve financial processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy.
  12. Assist in creating data room Excel files related to spectrum assets for various counterparties.
  13. Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  14. Maintain advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
  15. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning).
  16. Exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  17. Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  18. Understanding of fibre and fixed wireless infrastructure is a strong asset.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within a corporate FP&A function or Big 4.
  • Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive with a sense of urgency to meet targets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
