Senior Financial Analyst (6 Months to Permanent)

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team. The role will start as a 6-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. The position requires working in the office in downtown Toronto, 2 days a week.

About the Opportunity

1. Prepare journal entries and perform month-end reconciliations; play a key role in the month-end close process.
2. Prepare monthly internal financial reporting packages for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
3. Support external tax consultants by providing information for sales and income tax filings.
4. Analyze financial information, summarize, interpret, and recommend actions based on actual and forecast data.
5. Maintain transfer pricing models and manage intercompany relationships.
6. Review and improve internal financial processes continuously.
7. Liaise with external auditors.

About You

1. Experience with preparing journal entries and performing month-end reconciliations.
2. Ability to prepare financial reports for senior management and boards.
3. Support for tax filings and compliance.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations.
