Senior Financial Analyst (6 Months to Permanent)

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team. The role is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent. The position requires working in the downtown Toronto office two days a week.

About the Opportunity
  1. Prepare journal entries and perform month-end reconciliations; play a key role in the month-end close process.
  2. Prepare monthly internal financial reporting packages for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  3. Support external tax consultants by providing information for sales and income tax filings.
  4. Analyze financial data: summarize, interpret, and make recommendations based on actual and forecasted information.
  5. Maintain transfer pricing models and manage intercompany relationships.
  6. Review and improve internal financial processes continuously.
  7. Liaise with external auditors.
About You
  1. Experience in preparing journal entries and performing month-end reconciliations.
  2. Ability to prepare financial reports for senior management and boards.
  3. Experience supporting tax filings and compliance.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations.
  5. Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
  6. Proactive in reviewing and improving financial processes.
  7. Excellent communication skills for liaising with auditors and external parties.
