Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Performance and Analytics, the Senior Financial Analyst will actively participate within the Ainsworth Finance team, supporting actuals and budget analytics. This role involves financial planning and analysis, KPIs reporting, strategic support, ad hoc analysis, cost review, optimization, and financial reporting. Additionally, it manages the end-to-end commission plan process and planning/forecasting models.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Update and maintain financial planning/forecasting models; collaborate with operations for reliable monthly revenue forecasts; ensure financial integrity of outputs.
  2. Develop and implement tools for management decisions (Reporting packages, Commission models, Dashboards, KPIs, etc.) in partnership with developers.
  3. Analyze variances of business performance against plan targets.
  4. Prepare month-end reports, variance analyses, and ad hoc analyses to support management decisions.
  5. Assist in preparing presentations (Monthly/Quarterly/Budget) to clarify relevant business issues.
  6. Conduct rigorous analysis of cost metrics to help optimize the business's cost base.
  7. Support quarterly commission calculations and payouts.
  8. Collaborate with Finance and Controller teams, providing financial support across business functions.
Qualifications
  • Proactive, business-focused finance professional with at least 3 years of progressive experience.
  • Post-secondary degree with active pursuit of a Professional Accounting Designation.
  • Comfortable handling complex finance issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix organization with a culture of excellence and transparency.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with JDE or similar ERP systems and Metrix preferred.
  • Team player with a record of high standards and results under tight deadlines.
  • Quick learner of business, economic, marketplace, and accounting issues to develop optimal solutions.
