Job Description: Senior Financial Analyst
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in shaping the financial foundation of HEALWELL AI. This position is responsible for optimizing financial processes, revising our P&L structure to better align with business goals, and supporting the development of financial reporting dashboards using MS Power BI.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Conduct financial and variance analysis, providing insights to support senior management decision-making.
- Assist in developing financial reports and dashboards to monitor key SaaS performance indicators (KPIs).
- Accounting and Treasury Operations
- Supervise and review the work of the accounting team, including AP, AR, and general ledger activities.
- Provide guidance on revenue recognition policies and communicate these effectively to business unit leaders.
- Standardize accounting policies across multiple business units.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support cash flow planning and management to ensure operational liquidity.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions.
- Financial Controls and Compliance
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support the quarterly and annual budgeting process.
- Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections.
- Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies within financial operations.
- Optimize the use of NetSuite, standardizing the Chart of Accounts and automating financial reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Training and Development
- Mentor and develop finance team members, enhancing their technical and professional skills.
- Stay updated on accounting industry trends and share insights with the team.
- M&A Support
- Assist in the integration of acquisitions, contributing to the development of an integration playbook.
Professional Qualifications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead by example.
- University degree preferably in finance or business with an accounting designation (CPA).
- Public company experience preferably with Big 4 (or 6)
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, preferably with Tech companies
- Strong Excel skills, and exposure to power BI and dashboarding
- Flexible, adaptable, and agile style and can adjust to multiple demands and a changing, fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Takes responsibility for assigned tasks and shows initiative to suggest improvements to systems, processes, and procedures.
- Highly organized, the ideal candidate manages their time well and brings projects in on time and on budget.
- Possess excellent communication skills and will be adept at explaining complex ideas and concepts in simple terms and ensuring open lines of communication throughout the organization.
- Not afraid to ask new questions and challenge the status quo in the best interests of the business and is skilled at persuading experienced managers to think about the business differently.
