Qualifications

Job description

Role Title: Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis

Our Client: (PE backed) operates long term care and retirement care communities in two Canadian provinces.

*Please note that this role requires at least two days a week in the Peterborough office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
  • Prepare financial reports and variance analysis for senior management
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Analyze cost structures and suggest efficiency improvements
  • Evaluate revenue streams and market trends
  • Assess investment opportunities and capital expenditures
  • Develop complex financial models for planning and projections
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as needed

Qualifications:

  • Accounting designation or in progress
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Financial Analyst or similar role
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Effective communicator with ability to present to non-financial audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and in teams
