Qualifications

Senior Financial Analyst

This regular full-time Senior Financial Analyst position is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team and offers a salary of $99,600 to $117,200. The role supports leaders across the organization by translating financial and operational data into analysis that informs planning, reporting, and decision-making. The team’s focus is on budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial modelling, and cost optimization across a complex portfolio. The position also supports stronger planning processes, better data quality, and consistent financial planning and analysis practices. This is a hybrid role with at least 40% on-site presence required at a Canadian Blood Services location, with Ottawa preferred. Occasional travel within Canada may be required, up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop financial plans, models, and analyses that support business decisions.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for a complex portfolio.

Required Skills
  • Professional accounting designation in good standing (CPA or equivalent finance or accounting designation).
  • Progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles.
  • Advanced analytical, costing, and financial modelling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence decisions and build trust at all organizational levels.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance analysis in a large or complex organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and sound judgement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
