Senior Financial Advisor (Ganges (Salt Spring) Branch)

Join our team as a Senior Financial Advisor at Island Savings, a division of First West Credit Union .

This role involves providing exceptional customer service to members by offering a full range of investment, deposit, and complex lending services. You will identify members' life stage cycles and offer tailored financial solutions or refer them to appropriate advisors.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Member Service : Build strong relationships, manage a portfolio with $100,000 to $500,000 in assets, and proactively meet member needs.
• Member Transactions : Handle complex transactions including MFDA products, mortgages, loans, account openings, and insurance products.
• Branch Goals : Support branch targets through promotion of products, participation in campaigns, and referrals.
• Branch Support : Mentor colleagues and assist with member issues in management's absence.
• Other Duties : Prioritize schedules and ensure a consistent member experience.

Qualifications :

• College or Tech School Diploma (2 years) or equivalent experience.
• Mutual Funds License (required).
• Completion of First West certification within specified timeframe.
• 2-3 years in a financial advisory role or equivalent.
• Proven ability in advisory conversations, needs recognition, and sales achievement.
• Self-motivated, independent, and proficient in Microsoft Office and banking software.
