Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Kimberley, South Africa. The role focuses on month-end and year-end closes, IFRS reporting, internal controls, and collaboration with auditors, in a hybrid on-site/remote setup.

The ideal candidate has a CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification, 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, and proficiency with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
• CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Min 5–7 years progressive accounting experience, 2+ years in a senior role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, GL, and payroll operations.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual IFRS financial statements.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, variance explanations, and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain internal accounting policies and controls.
