Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity with broad financial management responsibilities including FP&A, financial reporting, controllership and treasury management? Would you like to enhance your leadership experience overseeing a finance team of 6 finance staff? Are you interested in a dynamic and growth-oriented company with significant potential for future progression?

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and growing company located Downtown Toronto, with only 1-2 days in-office per week. They are currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with relevant industry experience in business unit finance / accounting role, and strong technical skills under IFRS.

Key responsibilities and oversight :

• Provide leadership and manage the overall finance function for a multi-entity business unit
• Leads financial integration for new acquisitions, including financial due diligence on target companies
• Manage the performance of finance staff, including training, development and mentorship
• Reporting on key aspects of business financial performance compared to budget and forecast
• Financial reporting packages on both a consolidated group basis and by business unit segment
• Ensure timely and accurate period-end financial closes (ME, QE, YE), including analytical reviews
• Manages the financial forecasting process and strategic planning with business partners and the CFO
• Provide analytical advice to management + team members to achieve required strategic outcomes
• Consistently refine and improve policies and procedures related to financial and business practices
• Leverage financial data to create meaningful reports, analysis, and decision support tools
• Continuous process improvement through strengthening systems, processes and internal controls

The company is offering an excellent compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary and annual bonus program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
