The Financial Services Branch of Alberta Arts, Culture and Status of Women provides expertise and leadership in all financial matters affecting the ministries of Arts, Culture and Status of Women and Tourism and Sport. Reporting to the Manager, Financial and Administrative Operations, the Senior Finance and Procurement Analyst is responsible for procurement, contract and payment controls, compliance and accountability.
The Senior Finance and Procurement Analyst is a key Accounting Officer for the Ministry and provides expertise across the full procurement and contracting lifecycle, including approvals, solicitation, contract management, payment and closeout. They ensure effective financial controls and accountability while identifying and implementing process improvements and risk mitigation strategies. The position also supports the review of daily financial transactions related to accounts payable, procurement cards, grants, contracts and expense claims. As the Ministry’s contracting systems expert, the role supports Alberta Purchasing Connection, SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass.
