Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Field Technician in Canada to perform trouble shooting, electrical testing, repairs and fluid services of transformers, rectifiers, regulators and high voltage components on customer sites. This role supports the Transformer Services Division with inspections and problem resolution.

Responsibilities include testing and reconditioning SF6 circuit breakers, air breakers, reclosures; painting; preparing project estimates; coordinating travel; and mentoring junior

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Engineering Technologist or Journeyman Trade certification.
Proven mechanical skills and ability to solve problems.
Basic computer skills and ability to create reports.
Customer focused, able to meet deadlines and work in a team.

Responsibilities

Perform trouble shooting, electrical/fluid testing, repairs and fluid services of transformers, rectifiers, regulators and high voltage components on customer sites.
Test, repair and recondition SF6 circuit breakers, air breakers, and reclosures.
Design and fabricate bus bars; paint prep for transformers and switchgear; maintain quality control and final reports.
Mentor Field Techs, coordinate travel, and maintain strong client relationships.
