Job summary

Wartsila Canada is seeking a Sr. Field Service Engineer – Marine Engines to perform wide-ranging field service activities on Wärtsila engines, including maintenance, overhauls, and troubleshooting.

You will represent the company at customer sites, ensuring safe and high-quality service delivery and reporting. The role involves onshore and offshore work, travel up to 75%, and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in marine/ mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with marine engine maintenance and repair.
• Experience with offshore and remote operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities on Wärtsila engines following the work plan.
• Lead complex overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning with minimal supervision.
• Provide progress updates and create accurate service work reports.
• Ensure QEHS guidelines and site procedures are followed.
• Mentor less experienced Field Service Engineers when required.
