Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Technician III to operate and maintain facility mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring uptime and asset integrity. You will perform structured inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and respond to on-demand service requests while complying with safety and environmental requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma with trades training, 3+ years in HVAC/BAS maintenance, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
Minimum 3 years experience preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, BAS or related systems.
Strong knowledge of facility operations and building systems maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and building systems.
Emphasis on environmental, health and safety practices.
Strong client-service orientation and urgency in response times.
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC systems.
Good communication, mentoring and shift/on-call flexibility.
Compliance with PPE, safety policies and potential security clearance.
Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot facility, mechanical and electrical equipment and propose improvements.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime and asset integrity.
Monitor facility systems and respond to service requests and outages.
Manage work order lifecycle from dispatch to completion with documentation.
Assist in PM program implementation and document deficiencies and escalations.
Support tenant relations by delivering reliable services and timely communication.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies.
