Job summary

Ainsworth is seeking a Facilities Technician 3 to oversee building operations, maintenance and repairs in assigned facilities. The role covers a wide range of tasks and requires a skilled journeyman technician with strong safety awareness and documentation practices.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of journeyman experience, be self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Certified Journeyman technician or equivalent.
• Writing and verbal communication skill is a must.
• Awareness of Environment, Health & Safety Issues.
• Required to obtain/maintain a security clearance - A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Building maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure building compliance and code is adhered to.
• Contractor oversight and management.
• Manage workloads.
• On call availability.
• Reports and all written documentation and process are followed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
