Job Description
- Conduct daily inspections of the school compound for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of facilities, including aircon servicing, kitchen equipment maintenance, painting, and cleaning.
- Handle maintenance requests, update records, and monitor response times.
- Manage maintenance cash float, hardware, and materials procurement.
- Respond promptly to feedback from Principal and Teachers within the same day.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and workplace safety and health (WSH) guidelines.
- Conduct WSH training for cleaning and support staff and maintain training records.
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute school events and activities, including setup and teardown.
- Supervise contractors, security, and cleaning staff, ensuring attendance and proper record-keeping.
- Provide coverage during staff absences.
- Monitor cleaning standards and equipment safety among contract cleaning staff.
- Manage external vendors and contractors regarding maintenance works and contracts.
- Ensure compliance of all maintenance activities with safety and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with government authorities such as BCA, NEA, URA.
- Undertake projects and assigned works periodically.
- Handle procurement for maintenance and minor renovations.
- Identify training needs, source courses, and maintain training records.
- Prepare annual training plans for staff.
- Manage logistics and facilities for the school.
- Assist in planning internal events.
- Manage logistics, equipment, and inventory for program delivery.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Must be hands-on with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Diploma in Building Services or Facilities Management.
- At least 3 years of related experience, preferably in a school environment.
- Self-driven, committed, and with excellent follow-up skills.
- Results-oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
