Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Senior Manager External Reporting to lead the external financial reporting in IFRS and securities rules for Canada and the US. This full-time, 14-month contract reports to the Director, External Reporting and collaborates across Nutrien’s global operations to ensure disclosures meet high standards.

You will supervise external reporting processes, coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies, and drive improvements in reporting controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in external/financial reporting and/or auditing for public companies.
• Experience preparing, reviewing or auditing consolidated financial statements and disclosures for public companies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and SEC reporting exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, notes, and regulatory filing deliverables under IFRS and securities regulations.
• Review analyses, reconciliations and working papers from business units to ensure accuracy of external reporting.
• Analyze segment results and key reporting implications for external disclosures.
• Coordinate and support the quarterly SUD process with stakeholders and external auditors.
• Support implementation of new accounting/reporting requirements, including IFRS 18, through transition analyses and controls.
• Collaborate with Controllers, Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury, Tax, external auditors and other stakeholders to ensure timely reporting.
• Mentor and develop team members to maintain a high-performing team environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of reporting processes and controls.
