Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking a seasoned Training Specialist to design and deliver competency-based training for explosive operations, ensuring alignment with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role involves collaborating with Health & Safety, Nobel Academies, and regional managers to implement robust training programs and maintain documentation, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience; advanced training is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in explosives industry or related operations.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards (NRCan, MOT, CCOHS, provincial mining).
• Valid driver's license and computer literacy.
• Ability to write and edit training documents.
• Ability to deliver and conduct training across the business.

Responsibilities

• Train employees to follow standard operating procedures for explosives and equipment.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety to incorporate safety requirements into training.
• Lead competency-based training programs and auditing.
• Develop training materials and manage training records.
• Interact with regional managers and Nobel Academies to align programs.
