Job summary

General Motors Ventures is seeking a Senior Controls Developer specializing in Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) to lead design and development of VMC features for multi-axle EVs. The role involves supervising torque vectoring strategies, coordinating with SSLEs, FSAs and calibration teams, and delivering advanced control algorithms.

You will work in a hybrid environment with team collaboration across offices in Oshawa or Markham, focusing on energy-efficient vehicle dynamics and safety-compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related fields required.
• Experience: minimum 5 years in controls system development incl. hardware/software integration and testing.
• Knowledge of embedded control development and delivery processes; reading and debugging C/C++ source code.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink modeling and vehicle dynamics is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Vehicle Motion Control features with cross-functional teams.
• Develop control and diagnostic algorithms using tools like MATLAB or C.
• Support safety/regulatory requirements and validation through unit tests and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Analyze vehicle dynamics and provide design feedback; mentor junior staff.
