Job summary

General Motors in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a senior Chassis SW Diagnostics Engineer to define diagnostic requirements for Driveline and Trailering mechatronic subsystems. The role blends systems engineering, diagnostic architecture, embedded software, and vehicle validation to deliver robust, production‑ready diagnostics.

You will collaborate across engineering teams in a SAFe/agile environment, drive design reviews, and mentor others while shaping reusable diagnostics standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechatronics/Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded controls, diagnostics, or related automotive engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own diagnostic specification development for Driveline and Trailering mechatronic subsystems, including DTC strategy and data requirements.
• Directly support software implementation across controller, subsystem, and vehicle levels.
• Drive robust diagnostic design reviews with GM stakeholders and suppliers.
