Job summary

Linesight in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our cost management team. You will lead the development of the total project estimate, coordinate with the project team, and make contingency recommendations aligned with project goals.

Applicants should have 7+ years of estimating experience in construction, CSA/MEP discipline knowledge, and proficiency with Accubid, Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX; strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as an Estimator in construction with increasing responsibility.
• Knowledge of CSA and MEP disciplines.
• Experience using estimating systems such as Accubid, Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction-related discipline.
• Chartered status (RICS, CEP or CPE) or on the path to it; assistance available.
• A proven communicator in verbal and written form.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Strong relationship-building with teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis; propose contingencies.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to problems with varying complexity per guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 7+ years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have knowledge of both CSA and MEP disciplines
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Accubid, Sage Timberline, InEight , or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS , CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it . We can help !
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are detail orientated and quality focused

The Salary range for this role is $108,000.00 -$145,000.00 USD but actual salary offered is dependent upon experience, education, and skillset.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
