Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Estimator (CSA) in Vancouver to lead project estimates and risk analysis. You will develop the overall estimate and coordinate with the project team, leveraging local rate libraries to deliver robust cost plans.

You should have 10+ years as an estimator in construction, experience with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and a construction-related degree; RICS/CEP/CPE path is valued. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an estimator in construction with 10+ years of increasing scope and responsibility.
• Proficiency using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction-related discipline; professional chartering pursued or attained.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis; advise on cost contingencies.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to problems with varying complexity per project guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 10 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help!

The salary range for this role is between $109,000 and $140,000 but actual salary is dependent on skill set, education and experience
