Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Canada is seeking a Lead Project Controller to drive robust project controls for energy and process EPC initiatives.

You will manage baselines, cost and schedule integration, risk tracking, and performance reporting across the full project lifecycle. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will guide a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance, and deliver insights that support timely decisions and successful project

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project controls across cost, schedule, forecasting, change, risk, and reporting on complex projects.
• Strong experience supporting EPC or similarly complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Advanced knowledge of project planning and scheduling, including hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of cost and schedule integration, variance analysis, forecasting, change management, and EVMs principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls activities across the project lifecycle, integrating cost, schedule, change, risk, forecasting, and performance measurement.
• Establish and maintain project baselines, including work breakdown structures, budgets, schedules, progress measurement, and forecasting frameworks.
• Monitor and analyze project performance, identifying cost and schedule variances, trends, emerging risks, and potential impacts to project outcomes.
• Develop accurate forecasts and project controls reporting that provide leadership with clear insight into current performance and expected outcomes.
• Lead change management activities, including assessment of trends and scope changes and evaluation of their cost and schedule impacts.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and other project functions to maintain consistent, integrated project information and reporting.
• Support project risk management by identifying project controls risks and maintaining inputs to risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Mentor and guide project controls team members while supporting continuous improvement of processes and tools.
