Job summary

BC Hydro in Prince George is seeking an Environmental Professional-L2 to provide environmental and risk management support for complex infrastructure projects. You will apply regulatory expertise to help projects stay safe, on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

The role requires collaboration with project teams, regulators, First Nations, contractors and other stakeholders to identify and manage environmental risks throughout planning, design, construction and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years of environmental management or risk management experience.
• Experience managing environmental risks in large construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental work plans using established procedures and project requirements.
• Identify, investigate, and manage environmental risks across design, construction, and field activities.
• Provide environmental management advice and technical recommendations to project teams.
