Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) Canada is seeking a Managing Consultant, Project Manager (Environmental) to lead multidisciplinary teams on mining, energy, and environmental projects across Canada. Based in Calgary, Vancouver, or Whitehorse, with travel to sites in BC and AB.

You will manage scopes, budgets, schedules, and client communications, ensuring governance, safety, and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering.
• 4+ years of consulting in environmental disciplines.
• Experience in the mining or energy sector.
• Proficiency with core PM practices (change, risk, quality) and financial tracking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strong health and safety planning and execution practices.
• Independently manage assigned scopes across multiple deadline-driven projects.
• Lead routine client communications to clarify needs, objectives, and progress.
• Manage projects from proposal development through reporting with ERM governance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Track budgets, invoicing, and apply ERM financial processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Support proposal development and cost estimation.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field logistics.
• Build collaborative relationships across ERM teams.
