Job summary

ERM in Canada is seeking a Managing Consultant, Project Manager (Environmental) to lead multidisciplinary environmental initiatives across mining, energy, and related sectors. Based in Calgary, Vancouver or Whitehorse, with flexibility to work from Kimberley, Fernie, Sparwood, or Crowsnest Pass.

You will guide proposals, plans, budgets, and schedules, drive client engagement, and deliver high-quality outcomes while upholding ERM governance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of consulting experience in environmental disciplines.
• Experience in the mining or energy sectors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety planning and execution practices.
• Independently manage assigned scopes across multiple deadline-driven projects.
• Lead routine client communications to clarify needs, objectives, and progress.
• Manage projects from proposal development through reporting while following ERM governance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outputs.
• Track budgets, complete invoicing and apply ERM financial management processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Support proposal development and cost estimation.
• Work across diverse projects with varying scopes, budgets, and timelines.
• Compile, review, and contribute to technical data analysis and report preparation.
• Coordinate subcontractors and associated logistics.
• Plan and coordinate fieldwork schedules.
• Build strong collaborative working relationships across ERM teams.
