The Future Energy Leader is responsible for supporting the continued development of the Future Energy initiative and for implementing the Future Energy vision, which is to identify the nexus between Future Energy and the Impact Assessment & Permitting Market we operate in and leverage our global experience to pursue and originate opportunities in Canada/US, with clients and partners who share our commitment to lead the transition towards a future of affordable, reliable, secure and low-carbon energy, to achieve lasting community benefit.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Work with Market Leaders, Service Line Leaders, and Business Group Leaders to define opportunities and execute resulting projects.
• Focus on decarbonization of gaseous and liquid fuel networks, as well as the production of renewable electricity.
• Provide strategic planning and roadmaps for GHD Future Energy activities in Canada.
• Grow a team through strategic recruitment activities.
• Accountable for organizational management to achieve performance targets.
• Develop and execute the GHD strategy for Canada in Future Energy across all GHD markets/sectors.
• Ensure alignment around client approach by tapping into the connected network.
• Participate as a leader on the Global Future Energy Steering Committee.
• Build on previous client relationships to provide opportunities and support development.
• Participate in key client meetings and expand the client base.
• Promote the GHD brand through professional and/or industrial organizations.
• Collaborate with Global, North American and Regional Market Leaders to achieve excellent business outcomes.
• Responsible for the overall Future Energy connected network throughout GHD in Canada.

What you bring to the team:

• Develop and mentor senior leadership and/or rising talent within the organization.
• Work with project directors and teams to establish and improve Business Group requirements.
• Attract strategic hires in key areas of expertise.
• Provide strong ties in the Global Future Energy team and collaborate with leadership.
• Drive development and execution of the strategy.
• Pre-position for key projects and develop opportunities.
• Develop approaches for responses to RFPs, scope of work packages, budgets, and progress reports.
• Drive project teams to provide successful project deliveries.
• Adhere to GHD Management Systems for Safety, Integrity, Quality, and Environment.
• Drive positive client interaction, as verified through client surveys.

Salary range: $148,000 to $220,000
